Journal 002: I Shot My Cute Beagles
Walking with beagles is not your normal dog walk. One does not simply “go for a walk”. You might find you stop. Or go fast. Or slow way down for some sniff time. And the direction of travel is not a given, either. If a deer or squirrel shows up, expect chaos. And with two beagles? All the joints from my shoulders to my fingertips are very well stretched on a regular basis.
But I’m not here to discuss the issues of being a beagle parent. I chose this life and wouldn’t have it any other way. And this is a photography site, not one about dogs.
When I do take the dogs out for their walk, which is mostly on our property and sometimes a little way down the private road we sit at the very end of, I almost always bring a camera along.
This means plenty of photos of the two unholy baying terrors, and while the internet may very well be made of cats, it’s certainly not averse to cute dogs here and there.
So here it is, a whole journal devoted to the fur babies. I think all of these were shot on the Lumix G9, for those who care about the technicalities. Some were with the trusty but slow Lumix G 12-60/3.5-5.6 and the rest probably the Lumix G 12-35/2.8 II. All processing through DarkTable.
