Red Meets Blue

The hike along Costa Rica’s Rio Celeste is fairly tough if you’re an unfit tub like myself. It is, however, entirely worth the effort. The sky blue waters are something unique to behold!

This sight was almost one of those “oh and by the way…” moments, but as the guide continued along the path I knew I had to stop for a brief moment to capture this view before scurrying to catch up to the group again.

In top of frame is the Rio Celeste in its sky blue glory, below is an iron-rich stream which feeds into it. I love contrasts like this, probably why it caught my eye.
